AAM CEO Stepping Down

American Association of Museums’ President/CEO Ed Able will retire from the organization on August 1, 2006. Able has served as President/CEO at AAM for almost 20 years. He has served on the boards of several national associations, including the American Society of Association Executives, Board Source (National Center for Nonprofit Boards, and the Travel Industry Association of America. His resignation comes just after the organization’s 100th anniversary and recent adoption of a new strategic framework.
