Proposal comes as IRS takes closer look at nonprofit finances In an effort to allow greater scrutiny of the nonprofit sector, the White House has proposed requiring tax-exempt organizations to file their IRS Form 990s electronically so that data can be readily available to the public.The recommendation is tucked inside President Barack Obama's proposed 2014 budget.
