AGA hires five in advocacy push

The American Gaming Association recently boosted its policy and communications department with five new hires, one of the largest shake-ups at the group since Geoff Freeman became CEO in July. The website Casino.org reported that the new staffers are likely part of a lobbying push for Internet gambling. The issue divides AGA membership, as Sheldon Adelson, founder, chairman and CEO of Las Vegas Sands, strongly opposes online gambling, the site reported.
