Gordon Smith agrees to lead association as industry fights for survival with rise of new technology Smith The head of the National Association of Broadcasters isn't planning on leaving the group anytime soon. NAB recently announced Smith agreed to a contract extension that will keep him on board until Dec. 31, 2018. Details of the agreement were not released, but Smith earned more than $1.7 million in 2013, according to tax filings.
