Business assns tackle education policy with coalition

Business groups are venturing into national education policy to narrow the gap between what Americas public schools are teaching and the skills that tomorrows workplace needs. The NCLB Works! coalition is headed by the Business Roundtable and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Its members include the National Council of La Raza, which represents the Hispanic community, The LINKS, a nonprofit developed by African American women to support stronger communities, the Citizens Commission on Civil Rights and The Education Trust.
