The International Fragrance Association—North America has changed its name to the Fragrance Creators Association, believing the new brand and logo "evokes the creative, collaborative and humanistic spirit" of the industry it represents.
The $2.3 million-revenue Fragrance Creators is based in Arlington, Va. The group debuted a new website—fragrancecreators.org—and a new logo featuring a rainbow-hued raindrop. The association promoted the rebranding with the Twitter hashtag #makescents.
In a statement, the association said it is "fueled by its passion to educate everyone on the benefits of scent and how fragrances inspire and bring comfort, make us feel confident and unique, and remind us of all of the moments that make life special."
"We represent and support the scientists, perfumers, researchers, farmers, artists, inventors, entrepreneurs and the many others, who make up the fragrance community," Fragrance Creators CEO Farah Ahmed said. "These individuals not only spend years crafting beautiful scents that enhance lives, but they are also unwavering in their commitment to practices that leave the environment in better condition than they found it."
Fragrance Creators members spent Wednesday meeting with leaders on Capital Hill as part of the group's fly-in. The association also announced the formation of the Congressional Fragrance Caucus. http://bit.ly/2rwvkds
