A new umbrella organization will encompass the American Nurses Association along with its foundation and credentialing center.
The Silver Spring, Md.-based association announced the launch of ANA Enterprise Thursday. The new organization will include ANA, the American Nurses Credentialing Center and the American Nurses Foundation.
In addition, the association unveiled new logos for ANA Enterprise, ANA and the credentialing center.
"The practice of nursing is changing faster than ever before—and like the profession, our organization must grow and change," ANA Enterprise CEO Marla Weston said in a statement. "The launch of the ANA Enterprise and our new branding will ensure that we're empowering nurses to succeed and continue leading our profession forward."
Weston did not spell out the reasons behind the creation of ANA Enterprise. The foundation and credentialing center were previously part of ANA. The group said the new entity "will leverage the combined strength of each organization to drive excellence in practice and ensure the voice and vision of nurses are recognized."
