U.S. to investigate sugar dumping allegations The U.S. will investigate allegations made by sugar associations that Mexico is unfairly subsidizing its sugar imports, according to news reports. The American Sugar Coalition filed a complaint last month with the U.S. International Trade Commission and U.S. Department of Commerce alleging that the Mexican industry has dumped sugar on U.S. markets at artificially low prices and has received substantial subsidies from Mexican federal and state governments.
