Airlines associations sue to stop furloughs Airlines for America and two other organizations are suing to prevent the Federal Aviation Administration from furloughing air traffic controllers, which the group said would lead to major delays at many airports. According to a statement released by A4A on Friday, the group filed a motion in U.S. Appellate Court for the District of Columbia seeking a stay in the FAA's Capacity Reduction Plan, which it said could affect one out of every three airline passengers.
