NAB dealt big losses at Federal Communications Commission The National Association of Broadcasters was dealt two setbacks this week at the Federal Communications Commission, leading some to question whether the group is getting a fair shake by FCC Chairman Tom Wheeler, who used to lead NAB's political rival, the National Cable & Telecommunications Association. According to industry news site TVNewsCheck, NAB suffered a defeat Monday when the FCC closed loopholes in its local ownership rules that have allowed broadcasters effectively to operate multiple stations.
