Judge tosses ATM fees lawsuit A federal judge has ruled against a trade group representing independent ATM operators in a case that pitted it against the nation's largest banks and credit card companies. According to Reuters, U.S. District Judge Amy Berman Jackson in Washington, D.C., tossed out three lawsuits alleging that Visa, MasterCard, JPMorgan Chase and other large financial institutions conspired to fix ATM transaction fees in a way that prevented independent operators from offering lower prices.
