Former BSA head nominated for trade representative post President Barack Obama has nominated former BSA | The Software Alliance chief Robert Holleyman for the position of Deputy United States Trade Representative, with the rank of ambassador. Holleyman stepped down from BSA in 2013 after leading the association for 23 years. He has since started the company Cloud4Growth, which helps governments and other organizations to develop cloud computing infrastructure. If confirmed by the U.S. Senate, Holleyman would lead efforts to pass the Trans-Pacific Partnership, according to news reports.
