Wireless groups support measure to allow unlocking of cell phones Do you have a nice cell phone but wish you could change carriers without getting a new one? At least two group representing wireless carriers believe you should be able to do just that. In testimony before a U.S. House subcommittee Thursday, Competitive Carriers Association CEO Steven Berry threw his group's support behind a bill that would allow consumers to unlock their cell phones so they could switch services while keeping the same phone.
