Associations ready for Internet sales tax vote A bill allowing states to collect sales taxes from Internet purchases is expected to pass the U.S. Senate today thanks in part to an intense lobbying effort by groups such as the National Retail Federation. Passage of the Marketplace Fairness Act is the top legislative priority this year for NRF and the Retail Industry Leaders Association.
