Three associations representing the trucking and natural products industries recently announced they have struck deals to sponsor new trade shows in North America.
The Natural Products Association is partnering with events company Momentum to launch The Big Natural, a foods, dietary supplements and health/beauty aids show that will debut February 2017 in Las Vegas.
In a statement, NPA CEO Daniel Fabricant said profits from the event would be used to grow the $2M-revenue association.
"Given the access the NPA has to the leading organizations and innovators driving the natural products sector, creating a true ‘by the industry, for the industry' event is a natural extension of our mission to ensure that retailers and suppliers have the opportunity to provide consumers with the products that maintain and improve their health," Fabricant said.
The American Trucking Associations also is planning a new show. The group said it would partner with the Heavy Duty Manufacturers Association—a division of the Motor and Equipment Manufacturers Association—and trade show firm Messe Frankfurt to develop a new biennial truck and transportation event.
Preliminary plans call for the show to be held somewhere in North America in the early fall. It will be held in odd-numbered years opposite an already-established European show held during even-numbered years.
"While ATA already provides fleet executives with a number of opportunities to see the latest in truck, trailer and other technology, we believe there is an appetite for a larger-scale event," ATA CEO Bill Graves said.
Dates and location for the inaugural show have not been set.
