Former rear admiral cites age, new strategic plan among reasons why he is stepping down Cressy Peter Cressy will step down as CEO of the $16 million-revenue Distilled Spirits Council of the U.S. at the end of year, leaving an organization he has led for nearly 16 years. Cressy, a retired U.S. Navy Rear Admiral, joined DISCUS in 1999 after six years as chancellor of the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth.
