Diabetes Assn names longtime nonprofit leader as CEO

Today the American Diabetes Association announced the selection of Laurence Hausner as CEO. The appointment is effective Oct. 8, 2007. Hausner joins the ADA from The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, where, since 2003, he has held a variety of senior-level roles, including general manager, organizational development, chief strategic development officer and chief operating officer.
