Joel Brandenberger has participated in every White House pardon of a turkey since 1991, but the president of the National Turkey Federation doesn't let it go to his head. He remembers all too well his first experience with the Thanksgiving tradition. Brandenberger's then-new legislative affairs job included "assistant bird handler" duties. After President George H.W.
