Blakey makes career jump from association to industry

Aerospace Industries Association head named CEO of aircraft engine manufacturer; no announcement yet for replacement Blakey Marion Blakey will end her roughly eight-year run as CEO of the Aerospace Industries Association later this year to become head of Rolls-Royce North America, a major manufacturer of aircraft engines. The company announced Feb. 24 that Blakey would become CEO of its North American operations, headquartered in Reston, Va. No start date was given but Rolls-Royce noted she would replace current CEO James Guyette, who will retire in May. Blakey joined the $18 million-revenue association in 2007.
