Melcher will help search for sucessor at AIA

CEO will step down well ahead of 2019 centennial celebration; former military and corporate leader was hired in June 2015 The Aerospace Industries Association announced July 13 that CEO David Melcher plans to step down at the end of the year. Melcher will assist AIA's executive committee in searching for a new CEO, and with onboarding a successor. The $18-million revenue group does not intend to hire a recruitment firm. Paul Paolozzi, vice president of communications, said one factor in Melcher's decision to depart is AIA's 2019 centennial celebration.
