Realtors association invests in cloud computing company The National Association of Realtors is investing $3 million in a Seattle-based cloud storage and data recovery startup company founded by two Microsoft engineers, according to the industry news site GeekWire. The company, Synform, has so far raised $20 million from venture capital firms. NAR CEO Dale Stinton said his organization decided to throw its hat in the ring because it wants to do everything it can to give its members an edge.

Donohue stresses growth for U.S. economy, and for the Chamber of Commerce

U.S. Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Tom Donohue said economic growth should be "job one" for federal policymakers this year—while the Chamber itself plans to grow as an organization in 2013. "We will deepen our bench of policy experts, communicators and lawyers to prevail in the battle of policy ideas and reach new audiences," Donohue said in his annual State of American Business address, which he delivered Jan. 10 at the group's downtown Washington, D.C., headquarters.
