IFA trip to Afghanistan, Tunisia concludes

Months in the making and against a backdrop of security concerns, the International Franchise Association trade mission to Afghanistan and Tunisia gave intrepid franchisors the opportunity to meet with key government officials and investors, said IFA CEO Steve Caldeira. Drug store group finds new home

For more than 30 years, the National Association of Chain Drug Stores was based in "Old Town" Alexandria in a building too cramped for the growing group. "We were trying to knock down walls, literally and figuratively, around here," NACDS CEO Steve Anderson told CEO Update. Now the association has a new home base in Arlington, Va., that will give its 68 local staffers a bit more elbow room. "This is a win-win because we can get into new space, bring in new furniture and new technology," Anderson said.
