With funding for public television and radio under Republican fire on Capitol Hill, the Association of Public Television Stations and National Public Radio have teamed up to create the Public Media Association, a new advocacy group whose mission is to defend members funding. NPR is proud to join forces with APTS to make the case for continued federal funding for public broadcasting, Vivian Schiller, NPR president and CEO, said in a statement.
