In a wave of change, the American League of Lobbyists has installed new volunteer leadership and named an interim executive director for the 1,000-member professional society. The new president of the group, Howard Marlowe, heads the Washington, D.C.-based Marlowe & Company, the firm he founded in 1984 after stints on Capitol Hill and for the AFL-CIO.

American Bankers Association announces choice of COO

Michael Hunter, former No. 2 for the American Council of Life Insurers, will again work under new CEO Frank Keating. Michael J. Hunter, a former Oklahoma state lawmaker and longtime associate of the new American Bankers Association CEO Frank Keating, has been selected as the $64 million-revenue group’s new COO. His appointment will take effect this month. Hunter worked as executive vice president and COO for the American Council of Life Insurers from 2002 to 2009.
