American Heart Association promotes Brown to CEO

Longtime chief operating officer named as successor to M. Cass Wheeler, the retiring head of the $667 million, Dallas-based national organization. (Updated) The American Heart Association selected Chief Operating Officer Nancy A. Brown, to succeed M. Cass Wheeler, who is retiring as chief executive officer after 11 years.
