AeA CEO to Retire

AeA CEO Archey to Retire; Korn/Ferry has Search The Board of Directors of electronics industry association AeA announced that president William “Bill” T. Archey plans to retire in Feb. 2008 after 13 years at the helm. Recruitment firm Korn/Ferry International is handling the search for his replacement at the $16.9 million revenue group.

NAACP to Close Offices, Cut Staff

The NAACP said Friday it will no longer dip into its reserves to cover costs and budget shortfalls, but may close regional offices and cut staff positions to stay solvent. The Baltimore-based civil rights organization said it hasn’t determined a time frame to make the changes, but essentially the staff will be reduced to 70 members from 119.

ASAE Board Approves Governance Changes

Responding to a comprehensive governance study and members’ input, the ASAE board of directors approved changes to their governance structure at a May 10 meeting, unanimously agreeing to reduce its size and conduct a power shift from the executive committee members to the board. “The [Governance] Task Force decided the board should be the primary governance vehicle,” said John H.
