Office Moves: Anthropological group plans move to collaborative office space

COVID changed the way the team at American Anthropological Association (AAA) worked. Separate offices no longer suited the association’s 23 employees, who adopted a hybrid schedule — four days working remotely and one day in-office to collaborate. The association, with 8,000+ anthropologist members “dedicated to advancing human understanding and applying this understanding to the world’s most pressing problems,” needed to solve an issue of its own.  By July 2023, when Ady Arguelles-Sabatier came aboard as CEO, the decision had already been made to occupy a new space with an open floor plan that allows for more collaboration in the same building.
