Red Cross plucks another exec from IRS

The American Red Cross has lured another senior official from the Internal Revenue Service into its ranks; acting Internal Revenue Commissioner Kevin M. Brown will join the charity on Sept. 10 as chief operations officer. Browns move will reunite him with former IRS Commissioner Mark Everson, who joined the $3.9 billion Red Cross as chief executive officer in April. While at the IRS, Brown reported to Everson as his chief of staff from 2003-2004. When Everson left the agency in May, Brown was named acting commissioner.
