Schmatz to exit Auto Care Association

CEO leaving to spend more time with family, but will continue to work for group; search planned for successor Schmatz Kathleen Schmatz will step down as president and CEO of the $16 million-revenue Auto Care Association at the end of the year. Schmatz has led the Bethesda, Md.-based association as CEO since 2004. In an email to members, Schmatz said she is leaving to spend more time with family. However, she won't go far.
