Longtime American Public Power Association CEO dies

Radin Alex Radin, former longtime CEO of the American Public Power Association, died April 11 at his home in Washington, D.C. He was 92. Radin joined APPA as editor of Public Power magazine in 1948 and was promoted to general manager in 1951. In his 35-year tenure as CEO, his group says he built APPA into a respected voice for the 2,000 plus nonprofit public power utilities. "For nearly four decades, Alex was Mr. Public Power," said Alan Richardson, former APPA CEO.
