McCarthy leaves Snack Food for millers group

McCarthy Jim McCarthy, longtime head of the Snack Food Association, is leaving SFA to become president of the North American Millers' Association, effective in October. McCarthy has been with SFA for more than two decades. He joined the group in 1991 as vice president of government relations, and became president and CEO in 1999. But earlier this year, SFA split its leadership positions. The group hired Tom Dempsey, former president of Utz Quality Foods, as its new CEO, effective in July.
