National Hardware Show to join two association events

The organizers of three construction and home improvement trade shows will hold events at the same time next year in Las Vegas in what they describe as a "boon" for the industry.

The National Hardware Show, the National Association of Home Builders' International Builders' Show and the National Kitchen & Bath Association's Kitchen & Bath Industry Show will take place Jan. 31 to Feb. 2, 2023 in the Las Vegas Convention Center.

The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show and the International Builders' Show have been co-located for the past nine years. This year's combined event, held Feb. 8-10 in Orlando, Fla., drew 1,200 exhibitors and 70,000 attendees to the Orange County Convention Center. The COVID-19 pandemic forced organizers to cancel last year's co-located event, but the 2020 shows in Las Vegas attracted roughly 90,000 attendees, according to NAHB.

The National Hardware Show is owned by RX (formerly Reed Exhibitions) and sponsors include the North American Hardware and Paint Association. The last event was held in Las Vegas in October 2021 after RX was forced to cancel the 2020 show. Attendance numbers weren't readily available.

"We are absolutely thrilled that the National Hardware Show will be in Las Vegas during the same time that Design & Construction Week takes place," NAHB CEO Jerry Howard said in a statement. "Co-locating NHS with IBS and KBIS will allow attendees to explore additional products and opportunities to grow their businesses and maintain a competitive edge in the market."

This year's NHS is happening April 5-7 at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
