Crippen to lead NGA The $10M-revenue National Governors Association has chosen former Congressional Budget Office Director Dan Crippen as its executive director, effective April 1. Cleary Mordell Douglas Crippen ran the CBO from 1999 to 2003, where he had a reputation as a moderate. Previously, he was a partner in the Duberstein Group and The Washington Counsel. Crippen was a domestic policy advisor to President Reagan, and had been chief counsel and economic advisor to Senate Majority Leader Howard Baker (R-Tenn.).
