Hill to lead booksellers association

Hill Oct. 25, 2019 The $3.8M-revenue American Booksellers Association has chosen Allison Hill as CEO of the White Plains, N.Y.-based group, effective March 1. She will replace longtime CEO Oren Teicher, who is retiring at year end. Hill currently is CEO of 125-year-old Vroman's Bookstore in Pasadena, Calif.

Gentzel to retire from school boards group

Gentzel Oct. 25, 2019 The $18M-revenue National School Boards Association has announced the retirement of Executive Director Thomas Gentzel, effective in May. The board said it would soon initiate a search for his successor. Gentzel has led the group since 2012.
