Trade group mounts large advertising series to call candidates attention to travel dollars In an attempt to bring tourism and travel issues to the forefront during the presidential election, the Travel Industry Association has been running full-page ads in battleground states in the weeks before the political conventions. TIA ran a series of three ads in the Orlando Sentinel and the Las Vegas Sun, spending up to $500,000.
