API to recruit new-media talent following mass layoff

As part of its organization-wide restructuring, the $198 million-revenue American Petroleum Institute in the coming weeks will post on its web site a “handful” of job openings for positions with specialties in new forms of communications: social media, grassroots advocacy and digital outreach, said API CEO Jack Gerard.
