Vaughan Vaughan announces departure from NAIC Terri Vaughan will step down as CEO of the $76M-revenue National Association of Insurance Commissioners during the first quarter of 2013, the organization announced Aug. 13. She cited family obligations and the desire to revise a textbook as reasons for leaving. Vaughan became CEO in 2009. She previously was a professor of insurance and actuarial science at Drake University in Des Moines, Iowa, where she focused on the regulation and management of financial institutions.
