Association lobbying expenses increase in second quarter

Farm bill, presidential appointment confirmation fights push some associations to record high spending levels for advocacy American Bankers Association spent more on lobbying in the second quarter of 2013 than any previous quarter. So did Consumer Electronics Association, American Dental Association and American Sugar Alliance.
