Association lobbying spending reports mixed for Q1

Health-related groups increase advocacy expenditures in a failed attempt to get permanent fix to Medicare reimbursements rates Advocacy-related expenditures by tax-exempt organizations in the first quarter of 2014 were a mix of ups and downs: Spending was up 8 percent from the same quarter last year, but down 4.4 percent from the previous quarter.
