A coalition of organizations that hold trade shows at New York City's Jacob Javits Convention Center are threatening to sue if the state's governor makes good on plans to bump some existing shows to make way for a boat show. The Javits Center is a state-run facility popular with many trade shows because of its location in Manhattan. New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Aug. 8 that the state was moving the New York Boat Show to late January from 2015 to 2019, mainly to help New York's beleaguered boat industry.
