Auto Alliance Initiates CEO Search

The Alliance of Automobile Manufacturers, Inc., a trade association composed of nine car and light truck manufacturers, has opened a search this month for a new CEO. Current CEO Fred Webber has managed the $35 million association, with 44 staff, since 2004. Webber, 68, retired from the American Chemistry Council in 2002. Webber said the Alliance board initially asked him to lead the association on an interim basis in 2004 while they conducted a search for a permanent CEO. In 2005, Webber was named the permanent CEO.
