Benefit at Realtors’ hits close to home

If it wasn’t for the National Association of Realtors, Sophia Stuart said she never would have been able to buy her first home. But it wasn’t an NAR-certified Realtor for which Stuart is thankful. Rather, it’s NAR’s forgivable loan program, a benefit offered by the group to its employees. Under the loan program, which was started about five years ago, the NAR will lend employees $10,000 towards the purchase of their first home.
