Big-name companies start green packaging group

Major U.S. corporations—including makers of packaging and branded consumer products—announced the formation of a new trade association March 7. AMERIPEN—The American Institution for Packaging and the Environment—is intended to offer a single voice on environmental issues surrounding packaging.
