Bowman leaves Nuclear Energy policy group

Leadership change in the federal government prompted Frank (Skip) Bowman to decide to retire early from the Nuclear Energy Institute’s top position. Marvin Fertel, NEI’s executive vice president and chief nuclear officer, is now guiding the organization as acting president and CEO during a transition period. Bowman, who has been NEI’s president and chief executive officer since February 2005, said the timing of his resignation announcement was made in what he viewed was in the best interests of the U.S. nuclear energy industry’s policy group.
