The American Gas Association recently unveiled a new campaign to raise public awareness about "the critical role that natural gas plays in the lives of Americans."
"Your Energy" will highlight the many benefits of natural gas, according to AGA. The group points to how natural gas has helped reduce U.S. carbon emissions and provided "environmentally friendly and affordable" energy when partnered with solar, wind and hydroelectric power.
"Natural gas makes America stronger," said Pierce Norton, chair of AGA's board of directors. "AGA's ‘Your Energy' campaign will shine a light on the tremendous benefits of natural gas for American households and businesses."
The "campaign will include community outreach, social media engagement, advertising and other promotions. Resources for policy makers, elected officials, the media and consumers will also be made available through state-based programming, beginning in Connecticut and Virginia.
The campaign's website is YourEnergyAmerica.com.
