Argentum—a trade association representing the operators of senior living communities—has sold its annual conference to healthcare events company HMP Global. Argentum will continue to coordinate the event's program development and educational content.
The Argentum Senior Living Executive Conference is the association's largest event, with the most recent conference held Sept. 13-15 in Phoenix. HMP Global will manage the conference's operations under the terms of a new agreement but it will remain an official Argentum meeting. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
"We believe the organization will support the tremendous growth potential for this event, while Argentum will continue to develop the event content and programming that is most beneficial to the industry's leaders and professionals," Argentum CEO James Balda said in a statement.
Argentum is turning over control of the event to focus on critical policy initiatives "timely and essential to supporting the needs of the industry," according to the association.
"This partnership with HMP Global will offer Argentum the flexibility to continue strengthening its advocacy programs through building relationships with policymakers and educating decision-makers on Capitol Hill and in state capitals on the senior living industry's needs," said Pat Mulloy, chairman of Argentum's board of directors.
The 2022 Senior Living Executive Conference & Expo is planned for May 16-18 in Minneapolis, Minn.
