Law firm, NAMA executive win lobbyist association awards The Association of Government Relations Professionals has named a law firm that represented six lobbyists in a lawsuit against the Obama administration as "government relations professionals of the year" for the efforts. At issue was a 2010 policy that prohibited lobbyists from serving on Industry Trade Advisory Committees. The law firm Mayer Brown sued to overturn the policy on behalf of six lobbyists—most of who worked for associations—who lost their committee seats as a result of the policy.
