Associations blast proposed greenhouse gas regulations The Edison Electric Institute came out swinging Monday against proposed Environmental Protection Agency rules that would limit greenhouse gas emissions from power plants. In a statement, EEI CEO Tom Kuhn said the agency's plan doesn't give states enough time to comply with the stricter standards. The result could be higher prices for customers. "It is critically important that EPA provides states with achievable emission reduction goals and compliance deadlines," he said.
