Community college association applauds free tuition proposal While there are skeptics of President Barack Obama's plan to provide two years of free community college tuition to students, the American Association of Community Colleges isn't among them. In a statement, AACC "enthusiastically" endorsed the plan, saying it would help a wide range of students. "College costs are a major concern for community college students," AACC CEO Walter Bumphus said.
