FTC cracks down on two associations The Federal Trade Commission recently pressured two associations to change their bylaws to strike out anti-competitive clauses—the second time in roughly a year the agency has targeted the association sector. FTC announced last month it had reached settlements with the Professional Lighting and Sign Management Companies of America and Professional Skaters Association to remove provisions in their bylaws that limited competition among members.
